Page Layout — DCTC Annual Report

This student project was presented to us as if we were hired directly by DCTC with the exact same materials the hired designer was actually given to design their yearly Annual Report. This was a monumental task of organization and page layout design, the need for presenting such large amounts of text while still making it engaging was a difficult task. We also had to stick within the confines of the DCTC Brand guidelines as to not stray away from their Brand Identity. While the task was overwhelming at times bit by bit it was helping me get more experience in an area I had little comfort with and ended up learning a lot from having had this project. The software I used in the creation of the Annual Report, InDesign primarily for the organization of the text and overall layout and application of typographic formatting. Photoshop for the extraction of certain photographic elements such as a subject to separate them from their background. Illustrator for the creation of areas that needed a vector graphic explanation.
